My busy life...
Well hi there folks! Wow, it's like almost a month since I last made a post. I can't believe it myself. Must have been overwhelmed by the workload I've had lately. Yea, JC life is quite stressful to handle. I've resorted to doing homework on the train, where everybody's staring at me like as if I've become crazy or something. But I think I'm getting the hang of it. I just have to organise my time properly and do my work on time and everything else falls in place.
My amounting workload
1)Coming up with a good idea for PW. I really can't think of anything good you know. And the Preliminary Idea report must be handed in in 1 week's time! ARRGGGHHHH!! What to do?
2)History readings. There's simply too much to read. I can't finish all of it. The teacher's already asked us to pay $6 for the next stack of notes, which is like OH MY GOD!!! And there are the tutorial outlines to finish. *sigh*
3)Drama. There's SYF to prepare for which is already quite demanding, and I'm already given role for TPJC 20th Aniversary 'Panorama' production which is in July. So after SYF in May, I have to immediately start on Panorama and the teacher's already booked my June holidays for that.
4)Well, there's the misc. stuff like preparing for TPJC Openhouse Carnival, our class Service Learning project, sports day preparation and things like that
Oh yea, before I forget, I just want to say that my new class 06A05 is like one of the geatest classes I've ever been in. The people are totally awesome and cool dudes who do work and play at the same time. And they are great motivaters. We have like very strong bonds with each other and are super close together. Really loving it being in such a class.
06A05 Peeps
Sochender, Bryan, Thalisa, Radhika, Bala, Lionel, Benjamin, Paul, Meiling, Yanling, Shannon, Kelvin, Emily, Jian Hong, Amelia, Amellia, Johan, Nichole, Cherie, Samantha, Sulaiman, Charlotte and Russell
I've just written a poem for my Literature assignment. It's supposed to be a Singapore poem, but I don't really know whether mine's really Singaporean. I wrote this in the JC library during lunhtime on Friday so might be a little screwed up. Read and see if you like it.
Mudhal Mazhai(First Rain)
They splattered that day in symphony
Just like the anklets I broke the day before
With a kueh tart in one hand and thoughts in the other
I watched as the weather embraced my little self
There was a tree out there
A damsel enslaved
Dripping in her finery, oozing with grace
Her eyes met mine; then looked away
As pearly drops formed a shield between our souls
'Lahs' and 'Lors' accompanied the scene
Followed by a finale of undistinguishable dialect
Tasting salt in my lips
And reluctance in my steps
I went back to my four walls fully aware
Amma would tell me to eat popiah and go and read
So that when the next-door auntie comes along
She would say, "My son so clever, he's so good
He reads so well, I'm proud Mrs Khoo!"
Now I've grown and do things my own way
Amma does not have a say
But when will the day of rain come
That I'll be able to see
With tiny eyes
And an innocent heart?
Well then got to go now. Lot of work to do, but I'll try to still blog sometimes. Bye bye and watch out for this space!
